01 — Who We Are

BARRE Foodstuff Trading LLC was founded in 2012 by Hassan Moalim. The company imports staple food products such as rice, sugar, flour, cooking oil, pasta, and grains, from overseas suppliers and distributes them across Somalia.

02 — Our Operations

Operations run from two warehouse hubs: the head office and primary warehouse in Bakara Market, Mogadishu, and a secondary hub in Berbera that serves the northern regions and regional traders.

03 — BARRE GOLD

The company's in-house rice brand, BARRE GOLD, was launched as a flagship for premium long-grain rice and is now stocked by wholesalers and retailers across the country.

Storage & Quality

How we store what we sell.

Storage

Stock is palletised and stacked in ventilated zones. Grains, oils, and dry goods are stored in separate areas to prevent cross-contamination and pest issues.

Quality

Every batch is tracked on receipt, supplier, country of origin, shipment date and inspected visually at loading. The condition of the stock that leaves the warehouse matches the condition that arrived.
